VTHCO BBQ Extravaganza 2024: A Day to Remember!

On August 25th, 2024, the Vaughan Tamils’ Heritage & Cultural Organization (VTHCO) hosted its much-anticipated BBQ Extravaganza, and thanks to the incredible support of the community, it was nothing short of phenomenal! The event was a perfect blend of fun, food, and festivities, celebrating the rich culture and tight-knit spirit that define our vibrant Tamil community.

We were overwhelmed by the remarkable turnout! The energy and enthusiasm each one of you brought made this event a true success. Your presence transformed the BBQ into a memorable day of connection, laughter, and joy, reaffirming the strength of our Vaughan Tamils family. 

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the dedicated team who prepared and distributed the amazing meals. From traditional favorites like Chicken Pokati, Kool, and Kulai Satham to classic BBQ staples like burgers and hotdogs, every bite was packed with flavor and love. A special shout-out to the crew behind the Kottu Roti station, who kept the rhythm alive, enhancing the lively atmosphere created by the Mega Tuners Music Group.

The Mega Tuners captivated the audience with their incredible music, adding to the festive mood. Whether you were dancing, singing along, or just soaking up the good vibes, the music made the day even more memorable. We were also blessed with perfect weather—a little gift from nature that made everything even more special. 

 The success of the BBQ Extravaganza would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers. From organizing games to face painting and assisting with membership registration, they were the true backbone of the event. Your efforts were inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for your time and energy! 

The kids had a blast with the Bouncy Castle, Dunk Tank Challenge, and various sports activities, while the adults showcased their competitive spirit in the thrilling Tug of War match. The day was filled with laughter and friendly competition, bringing our community closer together. 

 We’re thrilled to announce that our VTHCO community has grown by over 30 percent! A warm welcome to all the new members who have joined us. Your involvement strengthens our organization and adds immense value to our collective goals. We look forward to working together to build an even stronger, more united community. 

To the spouses and family members of our Executive Committee—thank you for your unwavering support and trust. Your dedication behind the scenes ensures the continued success of VTHCO, and we are incredibly grateful for your contributions. 

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to MPP Vijay Thanigasalan, MP Francesco Sorbara, MPP Stephen Lecce, and MP Anna Roberts for their warm greetings and continued support of the Vaughan Tamils community. Your encouragement means a lot to us, and we look forward to your continued partnership.
