Vaughan, March 24, 2024
The Vaughan Tamils' Heritage and Cultural Organization (VTHCO) is thrilled to announce the successful launch of the Vaughan Tamils' Badminton Club (VTBC)! The inaugural session took place on Sunday evening at Emily Carr Secondary School, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our community.
The VTBC aims to foster health, wellness, and community spirit among Vaughan's Tamil residents. With badminton being a sport that promotes physical fitness and social interaction, this initiative is perfectly aligned with our mission to enhance the well-being of our members.
Starting from March 24, 2024, the VTBC will hold practice sessions every Sunday evening at Emily Carr Secondary School. We offer two class options to accommodate varying schedules:
Our first session saw a fantastic turnout, with participants eagerly engaging in friendly matches and honing their badminton skills. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and camaraderie as players of all skill levels came together to enjoy the sport.
We are excited to welcome new members to the VTBC. If you are interested in joining, please contact us at email vtbc.adm@gmail.com. Space is limited, so we encourage you to act fast to secure your spot. Currently, we are accepting individuals aged 18 years and older for safety reasons.
As we look forward to the coming weeks, we are committed to making the VTBC a vibrant and integral part of our community. We encourage everyone to join us, whether you are a seasoned player or a beginner looking to learn a new sport.
Stay tuned for more updates on our future sessions. We are planning to introduce one weekday and one weekend session, each lasting 2 hours, to provide more opportunities for our community members to participate.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in the first session. Your enthusiasm and support are the driving forces behind the VTBC. Together, we are building a healthier and more connected community.
The Vaughan Tamils' Badminton Club is more than just a sports club; it is a community initiative aimed at bringing people together and promoting a healthy lifestyle. We look forward to seeing you at our next session!
